Oven does not heat at all in any mode; display works, interior light may work, but no heating elements energize.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Danger: The power board carries live mains voltage. Only proceed if you are competent with electrical safety. Always disconnect power at the breaker and verify with a meter.
- 1. Rule out elements and sensor: If none of the heating elements work but the fan and display do, the common supply from the power board is suspect.
- 2. Access the power PCB: Remove the oven from the cabinet and take off the top or rear cover to locate the main power/control board (often near the top front in Panasonic ovens).
- 3. Visual inspection: Look for burnt areas, cracked solder joints around large relays, or blown fuses on the board.
- 4. Check line fuse: With the board removed and power disconnected, test any onboard fuses for continuity. Replace only with the same rating and type.
- 5. Inspect heater relay: If you see heat discoloration or cracked solder around the heater relay, reflowing solder may temporarily restore function, but relay replacement or full board replacement is recommended.
- 6. Functional test (advanced): With the oven reassembled and safely powered, a technician can measure voltage at the heater outputs when a heating mode is selected. No output despite a call for heat confirms a board/relay fault.
Because of shock and fire risk, full power board replacement or relay replacement should generally be done by a Panasonic-authorized technician.
