Possible Causes
Seized convection fan motor, Open fan motor winding, Obstruction in fan blades, Faulty fan relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect mains power and allow the oven to cool before accessing the fan area.
- 1. Confirm fan issue: Select a convection mode and listen for the rear fan. If silent and the error appears, suspect the fan motor.
- 2. Access rear fan: Remove the oven from the cabinet and take off the rear cover. Inside the cavity, remove the fan cover plate to expose the fan blades.
- 3. Check for obstruction: Spin the fan blades by hand. Remove any food debris or screws that may be jamming the fan.
- 4. Test motor windings: With power disconnected, unplug the fan motor and measure resistance across its terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- 5. Inspect wiring and relay: Check the harness from the fan to the control board. If wiring and motor are good, the fan relay on the PCB may be defective.
- 6. Replace fan motor: If the motor is seized or open, install a new Panasonic convection fan motor assembly, ensuring the fan blade is correctly oriented and secured.
