Possible Causes
Open-circuit NTC sensor, Broken sensor wiring, Loose sensor connector at control board, Damaged sensor probe from impact or cleaning
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the sensor or control board.
- 1. Confirm error: Note if the error appears immediately on power-up or only when starting a heating mode. Persistent sensor errors usually indicate an open sensor.
- 2. Locate sensor: Identify the metal probe inside the cavity (rear or top). Remove its mounting screws and gently pull it forward to access wiring.
- 3. Test continuity: Disconnect the sensor connector and measure resistance at room temperature. An infinite reading (OL) indicates an open sensor.
- 4. Inspect harness: Follow the sensor wires to the control board, checking for cuts, burns, or pinched sections.
- 5. Reseat connector: At the control board, unplug and replug the sensor connector to ensure good contact.
- 6. Replace sensor: If open or physically damaged, install a new Panasonic-compatible NTC sensor and route wiring as originally installed.
