Possible Causes

One of multiple heating elements open, High-resistance connection at element terminal, Weak mains supply to oven, Failing temperature sensor causing early cut-out

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before testing elements or wiring.

  • 1. Compare modes: Test preheat time in conventional, grill, and convection modes. If one mode is much slower, its associated element may be faulty.
  • 2. Visual check of elements: Inspect upper, lower, and convection elements for visible breaks or burn marks.
  • 3. Resistance tests: From the rear of the oven, disconnect and measure each element’s resistance. Replace any that are open or significantly different from the others.
  • 4. Check terminals: Tighten any loose spade connectors on elements; heat can loosen them over time, causing voltage drop.
  • 5. Verify sensor: If elements are good, test the temperature sensor for correct resistance at room temperature and at a known elevated temperature (using hot water or a heat source, carefully). Replace if readings are out of spec.
