Possible Causes

Open heating element (top, bottom, or grill), Burned wiring to element, Faulty element relay on control board, Loose terminal block connection

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing rear panels or elements.

  • Identify which function fails: Test conventional bake, grill, and fan-assisted modes to see which element is not heating.
  • Visual inspection: Look at the suspect element inside the cavity for blisters, breaks, or burn marks. Check the rear connections by removing the back panel.
  • Test element resistance: Disconnect the element leads and measure resistance with a multimeter. An infinite reading indicates a failed element.
  • Check wiring and terminals: Inspect for burned spade connectors or loose screws at the terminal block where mains enters the oven.

Replace any open or visibly damaged heating element. If elements and wiring are good but E6 persists, the main control board relay may be faulty and require replacement.
