Oven interior light stays on even when the door is closed and oven is off.

Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the door switch.

• Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and presses the switch actuator.
• Test switch: Locate the door switch and test for continuity. It should change state when pressed and released.
• Adjust or replace: Adjust the switch position if misaligned or replace if stuck closed.

If the switch is good but the light remains on, the control board may be backfeeding the lamp circuit and require replacement.
