Possible Causes
Open-circuit temperature sensor, Broken sensor harness connector at PCB, Faulty control PCB input circuit, Sensor plug not fully seated after previous repair
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and verify the oven is cold before working.
- Access the sensor connector: Remove the top or rear panel (depending on model) to reach the temperature sensor connector on the main control PCB.
- Check connector seating: Ensure the sensor plug is fully inserted and locked. Unplug and replug to clean contacts.
- Continuity test: Disconnect the sensor from the PCB and measure resistance across the two sensor wires at room temperature. If the meter shows OL (open circuit), the sensor is faulty and must be replaced.
- Harness check: If the sensor itself tests good, test continuity from the sensor connector to the PCB connector through the harness. Repair or replace the harness if there is any break.
- Control board diagnosis: If sensor and harness are confirmed good but F03 persists, the sensor input circuit on the control PCB is likely defective. Replace the main control PCB.
