Possible Causes
Faulty door lock motor assembly, Defective door switch, Misaligned door latch, Broken wiring to lock mechanism
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power. If the door is locked with food inside, do not force it open; wait for the cavity to cool.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and evenly. Look for bent hinges or obstructions on the door seal.
- Inspect door latch and strike: Examine the latch hook and the strike plate for damage or misalignment. Adjust if necessary so the latch engages smoothly.
- Access door lock assembly: Remove the top/front panel to reach the door lock motor and switches. Check for loose connectors or broken plastic parts.
- Test door switch: With a multimeter, test the door switch for proper open/closed operation when the door is moved. Replace if intermittent or stuck.
- Lock motor test: If fitted, test the lock motor coil for continuity. If open or jammed, replace the door lock assembly.
- Reassemble and test: Restore power and check if F08 clears when the door is properly detected as closed.
