Possible Causes

Heating element shorted to chassis, Damaged insulation on wiring harness, Moisture inside elements or terminal block, Faulty mains filter (EMI suppressor)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Disconnect the oven from mains and verify no power is present.

  • Visual inspection: Remove rear and top panels. Look for burnt wiring, melted insulation, or signs of arcing around elements and terminal blocks.
  • Insulation test (if available): Use an insulation tester (megger) between each heating element terminal and earth. Any low resistance indicates leakage; replace the faulty element.
  • Check mains filter: Inspect the EMI filter module near the mains terminal block for burning or cracking. Replace if damaged.
  • Drying moisture: If the fault occurred after a spill or steam cleaning, allow the oven to dry for 24–48 hours with doors open (power disconnected), then retest. If tripping persists, replace the leaking component.

Warning: Earth leakage and short circuits can be dangerous. If you are not trained in electrical safety testing, contact a qualified technician.
