Proline
Temperature Calibration / Sensor Drift
Oven heats but temperature is inaccurate, food undercooked or overcooked compared to set temperature
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Aged NTC temperature sensor, Miscalibrated electronic thermostat, Poor oven door seal causing heat loss, Incorrect rack positioning affecting sensor reading
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing internal components.
- Verify with oven thermometer: Place a reliable oven thermometer in the center of the cavity and compare actual temperature to the set temperature over several cycles.
- Inspect door seal: Check the gasket around the door for gaps, tears, or flattening. Replace if not sealing properly.
- Check sensor: Measure the resistance of the temperature sensor at room temperature and compare to Proline specifications. Replace if significantly out of range.
- Calibration (if available): Some models allow temperature offset adjustment via the control panel. Follow the user manual to adjust by ±10–20°C as needed.
