How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains and allow it to cool.
- Visual check: Inspect the lower element inside the cavity for cracks, bulges, or burn marks.
- Resistance test: Access the element terminals from the rear or bottom. Disconnect wires and measure resistance; if open, replace the lower element.
- Check wiring and connectors: Tighten or replace any loose or heat-damaged spade connectors.
- Selector switch: If the element tests good, test the selector switch contacts for continuity in bake mode. Replace the switch if the bake contact is faulty.
