Oven timer works but heating only occurs when the timer is set to manual or a specific position

Safety first: Turn off power before removing the control panel.

• Check user settings: Ensure the timer is set to manual or continuous mode as described in the user manual. Many ovens will not heat if left in AUTO without a program.
• Inspect mechanical timer: If fitted, check that the timer knob turns smoothly and that the cam operates the internal switch.
• Continuity test: Test the timer's heating enable contacts with a multimeter. If they do not close in manual mode, replace the timer.
