Display shows LOC or a padlock symbol; oven controls do not respond.

Safety first: No internal repair is usually needed for this condition.

• 1. Disable child lock: On many Rangemaster models, press and hold the lock key or a combination (often the '+' and '-' or timer buttons) for 3–5 seconds until the lock symbol disappears. Refer to your user manual for the exact sequence.
• 2. Check for stuck keys: If the lock will not clear, ensure no button is physically stuck down. Clean around the buttons with a soft cloth.
• 3. Power reset: Turn off power for a few minutes and restore. Try the unlock sequence again.
• 4. If still locked: The keypad or control board may be faulty and require replacement.
