Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Isolate the cooker and investigate before further use.
- 1. Identify which function trips: Try each oven and grill separately (if safe to do so). Note which setting causes the trip.
- 2. Inspect suspect element: Remove rear panel and check the element and wiring for visible damage or signs of arcing to the chassis.
- 3. Insulation test (if equipment available): Use a megohmmeter to test resistance between each element terminal and earth. Low resistance indicates earth leakage; replace the element.
- 4. Check terminal block: Inspect the mains terminal block for burnt links or loose screws that could cause arcing.
- 5. Dry out moisture: If the oven has recently been steam-cleaned or flooded, allow it to dry thoroughly for 24–48 hours before retesting.
Warning: If you are not experienced with electrical testing, contact a qualified engineer. Persistent tripping is a safety issue.
