Possible Causes
Shorted touchpad membrane, Moisture or spill intrusion into control panel, Failed electronic oven control (EOC) board, Damaged ribbon cable between keypad and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing any panels. Do not work on a live oven.
- Power reset: Turn the range/oven breaker OFF for 5 minutes, then back ON. If F0 returns immediately, the fault is likely in the keypad or control board.
- Check for moisture or spills: Inspect the front control panel for signs of liquid spills or steam damage. If recently spilled, leave power off and allow the panel to dry for several hours, then restore power and test.
- Inspect ribbon cable: With power OFF, remove the back cover behind the control panel. Locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the electronic oven control (EOC). Reseat the connector (unplug and plug back in) and check for corrosion or burn marks.
- Isolate keypad vs. control: If possible, disconnect the keypad ribbon from the EOC, restore power, and see if the F0 code appears with the keypad disconnected. If F0 persists, the EOC is likely bad. If the code disappears, the keypad/touch panel is likely shorted.
- Replace faulty part: Replace the touchpad/control panel assembly if the keypad is shorted, or the electronic oven control board if it continues to show F0 with the keypad disconnected.
