Possible Causes
Stuck keypad button, Shorted touch membrane, Contamination under keypad from cleaning fluids, Damaged keypad ribbon cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before disassembling the control panel.
- Check for stuck keys: Press each button on the control panel several times. If any key feels stuck or does not click, the keypad is likely failing.
- Dry and clean: If the issue started after cleaning, allow the panel to dry thoroughly. Avoid spraying cleaners directly on the keypad; spray onto a cloth instead.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel back cover and inspect the keypad ribbon cable for damage. Reseat the connector at the EOC.
- Replace keypad/control panel: If F11 persists, replace the touchpad/control panel assembly. On some RCA models, this is integrated with the front glass.
- Control board consideration: If a new keypad does not resolve the error, the electronic oven control board may also be defective.
