RCA oven shows F93; self-clean cycle aborts and door may be stuck locked or unlocked.

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing the lock mechanism.

• Check door and latch alignment: Inspect the door strike and latch for bending or misalignment. Adjust as needed so the latch engages smoothly.
• Access lock assembly: Remove the top or rear panel to reach the lock motor and linkage.
• Inspect for obstructions: Look for insulation, wiring, or metal parts interfering with the lock arm movement.
• Test lock travel: Manually move the latch through its full range. It should move freely without binding.
• Replace assembly: If the motor is weak or the feedback switch does not operate correctly, replace the door lock motor and latch assembly. If mechanical parts are fine, the electronic oven control board may be misinterpreting lock travel.
