Possible Causes
Tripped house breaker on one leg of 240V supply, Loose terminal block connections, Burned power cord or terminal block, Failed main relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the breaker and verify power is off before opening any panels.
- Check breaker: RCA electric ovens require 240V. Verify that the double-pole breaker is not tripped and both legs have power.
- Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover where the power cord connects. Look for burned wires or melted plastic at the terminal block. Tighten loose screws and replace any damaged parts.
- Verify voltage (advanced): With power ON and using proper safety precautions, measure voltage at the terminal block: you should see ~240V across L1–L2 and ~120V from each leg to neutral.
- Control board relay: If supply voltage is correct and elements test good, the main power relay or internal fuse on the electronic oven control board may have failed and the board will need replacement.
