Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before testing the switch.

• Check door closure: Ensure nothing is blocking the door and that it closes fully.
• Inspect door switch: Locate the switch in the door frame. Verify that the door plunger fully depresses it when closed.
• Test switch: Remove the switch and test with a multimeter. Replace the oven door switch if it does not open/close properly.
• Control board: If the switch is good but the light remains on, the light relay on the electronic oven control board may be stuck closed and the board will need replacement.
