RCA oven light does not turn on when the door is opened or when the light button is pressed.

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before replacing bulbs or testing switches.

• Replace bulb: Remove the light cover inside the oven and replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature oven bulb. Do not use a standard household bulb.
• Check door switch: Locate the door switch (usually in the frame). Press it by hand; you should hear a click. Test continuity with a multimeter; replace the oven door switch if it does not change state.
• Inspect socket: Look for corrosion or burned contacts in the light socket. Clean or replace the oven light socket if damaged.
• Control board: If bulb, switch, and socket are good, the light relay on the electronic oven control board may have failed.
