RCA oven racks are difficult to slide or scrape loudly against the oven walls.

Safety first: Allow the oven to cool completely before handling racks.

• Clean racks and guides: Remove racks and clean them and the side supports with hot soapy water or a degreaser. Avoid abrasive pads that damage porcelain.
• Inspect for warping: Lay racks on a flat surface to check for warping. Replace oven racks that are bent.
• Lubricate lightly: Apply a very thin layer of high-temperature food-safe lubricant (or a small amount of cooking oil) to the rack contact points. Do not over-apply.
• Check liner damage: If the porcelain is chipped or rough, sliding noise may persist; avoid further damage and consider rack replacement.
