Oven shows E16 and may trip the household circuit breaker when heating is attempted.

Safety first: Immediately switch off the oven at the mains. Do not continue to reset a tripping breaker without finding the cause.

• Visual inspection: Remove rear and side panels to inspect wiring and elements for obvious damage, burn marks, or melted insulation.
• Dry the oven: If the oven was recently steam-cleaned or heavily washed, allow it to dry for 24 hours with the door open and power disconnected, then retest.
• Check elements: Look for cracks or bulges on grill and oven elements. Any visible damage usually means the element should be replaced.
• Insulation test (professional): A proper insulation resistance test with a megohmmeter is recommended to identify the leaking component. If you do not have this equipment, contact a qualified technician.
• Replace faulty component: Commonly, a leaking element or damaged wiring is replaced to resolve E16.
