How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before opening the control panel.
- Observe behaviour: Note which function (fan, light, element) is stuck on or off when E18 appears.
- Inspect PCB: Remove the control board and locate the relay or triac associated with the affected function. Look for discoloration, cracking, or melted solder.
- Tap test (temporary check): With power disconnected, gently tap the relay body. If the problem temporarily changes after re-powering, the relay is likely sticking and should be replaced.
- Replace PCB or relay: For most users, replacing the entire main control PCB is safer than desoldering individual relays.
