Possible Causes
Aging or drifted oven temperature sensor, Loose sensor connection at PCB, Corroded sensor connector, Faulty main PCB analog input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing any panels.
- Reset and test: Turn power off for 2–3 minutes, restore power, and run a 350°F bake cycle. Use an oven thermometer to compare actual vs. displayed temperature.
- Inspect sensor wiring:
- Remove the rear panel and verify the sensor harness is fully seated and not corroded.
- Clean any light corrosion on connectors with electrical contact cleaner (power off, fully dry before restoring power).
- Check sensor resistance:
- Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature.
- If resistance is significantly higher than spec or unstable, replace the sensor.
- Control calibration: Some Samsung models allow temperature calibration in the settings menu. If the sensor is good and the oven is consistently off by a fixed amount, adjust calibration per the user manual.
- If error persists: The main PCB may be faulty and require replacement by a technician.
