Possible Causes

Open circular heating element around convection fan, Broken wiring to circular element, Faulty convection element relay on control board, Overheated connector block at rear of oven

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven from the mains supply before starting any work.

  • Access circular element: Remove oven racks and the rear interior panel inside the cavity to expose the circular element around the fan.
  • Inspect the element: Look for cracks, hot spots, or burn marks. Any visible damage indicates the element should be replaced.
  • Measure resistance: Disconnect the element terminals and test with a multimeter. A reading of infinite resistance means the element is open and defective.
  • Check wiring and connectors: Inspect the wiring harness from the element to the rear of the oven and to the control board. Replace any burnt or brittle wires and ensure all connectors are tight.
  • Control board check: If the element and wiring are good, the convection element relay on the electronic control module may not be switching. In this case, replace the control board.
  • Reassemble: Refit the rear cavity panel, restore power, and test convection mode at 180–200°C to confirm proper operation.
