Possible Causes
Faulty door lock microswitch, Misaligned door latch, Broken lock motor gear, Loose wiring to lock assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing the lock mechanism.
- Check door alignment: Ensure the oven is properly installed and not twisted in the cabinet. Adjust mounting screws so the door closes evenly and the latch engages fully.
- Inspect lock assembly: Remove the top cover and locate the door lock mechanism. Look for broken plastic parts, loose screws, or disconnected rods.
- Test microswitches: Identify the lock position switches and test them with a multimeter while manually operating the lock. Replace any switch that does not change state reliably.
- Check wiring: Verify continuity from the lock assembly to the control board. Repair or replace any damaged wires or connectors.
- Replace lock motor/assembly: If the motor does not move when a cleaning cycle is started (and power is confirmed at the motor), replace the lock motor or complete lock assembly.
- Reassemble and test: Restore power and start a pyrolytic cycle to confirm that the door locks and the cycle begins.
