Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between display and main board, Faulty touch keypad, Damaged display PCB, Software communication fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power before removing the control panel.
- Remove control panel: Take off the front trim and carefully pull out the display/keypad module.
- Check ribbon cable: Inspect the flat cable for kinks, cracks, or corrosion at the connectors. Reseat both ends firmly. Clean contacts with appropriate electronic contact cleaner if needed.
- Test keypad: If some buttons work and others do not, the keypad membrane is likely failing. Replace the keypad or the entire user interface module, depending on design.
- Inspect display PCB: Look for burnt components or cracked solder joints. If present, replace the display board.
- Software reset: After reassembly, restore power and perform a factory reset if the model allows (refer to Sauter user manual). Test all keys and functions.
