Possible Causes

Blown oven bulb, Faulty lamp holder, Defective door switch, Open circuit in lamp wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off power before replacing the bulb or accessing internal wiring.

  • Replace bulb: Remove the glass lamp cover inside the oven (usually by twisting). Replace the bulb with a high-temperature, Sauter-compatible oven lamp of the same wattage and base type.
  • Test door switch: Locate the door switch near the frame. With power disconnected, test continuity while pressing and releasing the switch. Replace if it does not change state reliably.
  • Inspect lamp holder: Check for heat damage or corrosion at the lamp socket. Replace the holder if contacts are burnt or loose.
  • Check wiring: Trace the lamp wires back to the control board or terminal block. Repair any broken or burnt wires.
  • Restore power and test: Confirm that the light turns on with the door open and via the control panel button.
