Possible Causes
Open grill heating element, Burnt grill element connectors, Faulty grill relay on control board, Selector switch contact failure for grill position
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing the grill element or control components.
- Inspect grill element: From inside the oven, visually check the grill element for cracks or burn marks. Replace if damaged.
- Test resistance: Access the element terminals from the rear or top. Disconnect wires and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed element.
- Check connectors and wiring: Tighten loose spade connectors and replace any burnt wiring.
- Selector/relay check: If the element is good, test the function selector switch contacts for the grill position, or verify that the grill relay on the control board is energizing and supplying voltage. Replace the faulty switch or control board as needed.
- Reassemble and test: Restore power and test grill mode at a moderate setting, monitoring for proper heating.
