Possible Causes
Child lock feature activated, Stuck key on touch panel, Firmware glitch in control board, Faulty door switch preventing start
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal work is needed initially; keep hands away from hot surfaces.
- Disable child lock: Refer to the Sauter user manual. Typically, press and hold a specific key combination (e.g., lock symbol or stop and plus keys) for several seconds until the lock icon disappears.
- Power cycle: Turn off the breaker for 2–3 minutes, then restore power to reset the control logic.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and the door switch is actuated. If the oven still will not start, test the door switch for continuity (power off) and replace if faulty.
- Inspect touch panel: If certain keys appear permanently pressed or unresponsive, the touch panel may be defective and should be replaced.
