High-pitched squealing noise when opening or closing the oven door

Safety first: Ensure the oven is cool before working on the door.

• Inspect hinges: Open the door fully and observe the hinge movement. Look for metal-on-metal rubbing points.
• Clean hinges: Wipe away grease and debris from the hinge arms and pivot points.
• Lubricate carefully: Apply a small amount of high-temperature-safe lubricant to the hinge pivots (avoid getting any on the gasket or inside the cavity). Do not over-lubricate.
• Replace hinges if worn: If noise persists or the door feels loose, replace both hinges with new Sauter-compatible parts.
