Possible Causes
Failed bake or grill relay on control board, shorted triac on power board, overheated relay contacts, PCB trace damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the control board. High voltage is present on relay contacts.
- Observe which function fails: Note whether bake, grill, or both are affected. This helps identify which relay is faulty.
- Inspect control board: Remove the control panel and visually inspect the EOC or power board. Look for burnt relay housings, cracked solder joints, or charred PCB areas.
- Check element continuity: Before condemning the board, test the bake and grill elements for continuity. A shorted element can damage relays.
- Replace control board: If elements are good and visible relay damage is present, replace the control board. On some models, relays can be desoldered and replaced individually, but this is an advanced repair.
