Possible Causes
Failed clock IC on control board, power supply issue to clock circuit, corrupted firmware, damaged display PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before accessing electronics.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes to clear any temporary logic fault. Restore power and reprogram the clock.
- Check for other symptoms: If heating functions work but the clock/timer is frozen or incorrect, the clock circuit is likely isolated to the display or control board.
- Inspect display PCB: Remove the control panel and inspect the display board for burnt components or corrosion.
- Replace display or control board: On some Sharp ovens, the clock is integrated into the main EOC; on others, it is on a separate display PCB. Replace the board that contains the clock circuit according to the service documentation.
