Sharp oven shows F16 and may not heat in grill/broil mode.

Safety: Turn off power and ensure the oven is cool before touching the grill element.

• Visual inspection: Look at the grill element for visible breaks, blisters, or burn marks.
• Test continuity: Disconnect the grill element leads and measure resistance. An open reading indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
• Check terminals: Ensure the element terminals are tight and not oxidized. Clean and tighten as needed.
• Inspect wiring: Follow the wires from the element to the control board, checking for heat damage or loose connectors.
• Control board: If the element and wiring are good, the grill relay on the EOC may be faulty. Replace the control board if no voltage is supplied to the element during grill operation.
