Possible Causes
Loose harness between display PCB and power/control PCB, oxidized connectors, failed display board, failed main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal electronics.
- Access control area: Remove the top or front trim to expose the display PCB and main control board.
- Check harness connections: Locate the multi-pin connectors between the display and main board. Unplug and firmly replug them several times to clean contacts.
- Inspect for damage: Look for signs of moisture, corrosion, or burnt components on either board. If present, the affected board should be replaced.
- Isolate faulty board: If available, consult the service manual for voltage or signal checks between boards. In many cases, technicians substitute a known-good display or main board to identify the failed part.
- Replace defective PCB: Replace the display PCB if the display is dim/garbled and F6 appears. Replace the main control board if power relays and logic are affected.
