Open grill element, loose grill element connection, failed grill selector switch (on knob models), grill relay failure on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and let the oven cool before working near the grill element.
- Visual inspection: Check the grill element for cracks or burnt spots.
- Continuity test: Disconnect the grill element and measure resistance. Replace if open.
- Check selector switch: On models with a mechanical function selector, test the grill contacts for continuity when set to grill. Replace the switch if faulty.
- Control board: If the element and switch are good, the grill relay on the EOC may not be closing. Replace the control board if no voltage is present at the element during grill operation.
