Possible Causes
Open bake element, burnt bake element terminal, broken wire to bake element, failed bake relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before touching the element or wiring.
- Inspect bake element: Look for visible breaks or burn marks along the element.
- Test continuity: Remove at least one wire from the bake element and measure resistance. An open reading means the element is bad and must be replaced.
- Check terminals and wiring: Inspect the element terminals and wires behind the rear panel for overheating or loose connections. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control relay: If the element and wiring are good, check if the control board sends voltage to the element during bake. If not, the bake relay on the EOC is likely faulty and the board should be replaced.
