Possible Causes
Stuck capacitive touch key, Moisture or cleaning fluid behind glass panel, Faulty touch sensor IC on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off power before removing the fascia.
- Dry the panel: If the error appeared after cleaning, leave the oven powered off for several hours to allow moisture to evaporate. Do not use the oven during this time.
- Clean surface: Wipe the glass control panel with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove any residue that might trigger false touches.
- Inspect behind glass: Remove the control panel and check for signs of liquid ingress or corrosion on the touch PCB. Clean gently with isopropyl alcohol if minor contamination is present.
- Check cable connections: Reseat the ribbon cable between the touch panel and main board.
- Replace panel: If a specific key area is permanently unresponsive or always detected as pressed, replace the complete Siemens touch control panel.
