Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation causing excessive cavity temperature, Faulty NTC sensor reading too high, Stuck relay keeping element on too long
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off power and allow the oven to cool completely before further use.
- Allow cooling: Leave the door open and wait until the oven is at room temperature. Then restore power and test with a low-temperature program.
- Check ventilation and seals: Ensure the door seal is intact and that vents are not blocked. A damaged seal can cause hot air to recirculate incorrectly.
- Monitor temperature: If the oven overheats quickly, the NTC sensor may be misreading. Test the sensor resistance at room temperature and at a known temperature (e.g. 100°C) if possible.
- Inspect control board: If elements remain on when they should be off, a stuck relay on the control board may be causing overheating and must be replaced.
