Possible Causes
Seized convection fan motor, Open-circuit fan winding, Obstruction preventing fan rotation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate the oven from mains and allow it to cool.
- Visual check: Look at the convection fan behind the rear panel inside the oven. If it does not spin during fan modes, suspect a fault.
- Access fan: Remove the rear inner panel to expose the fan blade and nut. Check for food debris or screws obstructing the blade.
- Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand; it should move freely. Stiff or grinding movement indicates worn bearings.
- Electrical test: From the rear of the oven, access the fan motor terminals and measure winding resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Replace motor: Fit a Siemens-compatible convection fan motor and ensure the fan blade is correctly secured and not rubbing on the panel.
