E512
Siemens
Meat Probe / Food Sensor Fault (if equipped)
Oven shows E512, some sensor-based functions disabled
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Damaged or shorted meat probe, Contaminated probe socket, Broken wiring from probe jack to control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring.
- Remove probe: If a core temperature probe is plugged in, remove it and wipe the connector clean. Restart the oven.
- Inspect probe and socket: Check for bent pins, corrosion, or food residue in the probe jack inside the oven.
- Test with new probe: If available, try a known-good Siemens meat probe. If E512 clears, the original probe is faulty.
- Check wiring: If the error persists without a probe connected, inspect the wiring from the jack to the control board for shorts or damage.
