Possible Causes
Blown thermal cut-out, Failed main heating element, Faulty relay on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate the oven from mains before testing. High voltages are present on heating circuits.
- Check simple items: Confirm the clock is set and any child lock is disabled; many Siemens ovens will not heat if the time is not set.
- Test elements: Access and measure resistance of top, bottom, and ring elements. Replace any that are open circuit.
- Check thermal cut-out: Locate and test the safety thermostat on the top or rear of the cavity. Replace if open circuit.
- Inspect control board: If elements and cut-out are good, the heating relay on the control board may have failed and the board will likely need replacement.
