Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing any panels. High voltage is present even when the oven is off.
This code on Signature Kitchen Suite ovens typically indicates a failure in the main control's internal relays or a problem in the heating element circuits.
- Step 1 – Power reset: Turn the range breaker OFF for 5 minutes, then back ON. Try Bake at 350°F. If F01 returns, continue.
- Step 2 – Inspect bake element: Remove oven racks. Visually inspect the lower bake element for blisters, cracks, or burn marks. If damaged, it must be replaced.
- Step 3 – Check element connections: Pull the range forward, unplug it, and remove the rear panel. Verify the bake and broil element terminals are firmly connected and not burnt.
- Step 4 – Test continuity: Using a multimeter on ohms, test the bake and broil elements (disconnect at least one wire from each). A typical reading is 10–40 Ω. If open (OL), replace the failed element.
- Step 5 – Inspect main control board: With the rear panel off, inspect the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) for burnt spots or melted solder near the relays. If present, or if elements test good but F01 persists, replace the EOC.
When to call a technician: If you are not comfortable testing live circuits or removing the control panel, have a qualified technician replace the control board.
