Possible Causes
Failed oven temperature sensor probe, Loose sensor harness connection, Shorted sensor wiring, Faulty main control temperature circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing internal components.
- Step 1 – Check for obvious issues: Remove oven racks. Locate the temperature sensor probe on the rear wall inside the oven (thin metal rod). Ensure it is firmly mounted and not bent or broken.
- Step 2 – Access sensor connector: Remove the rear panel of the oven (after unplugging). Locate the two-wire harness from the sensor and disconnect it.
- Step 3 – Test sensor resistance: Using a multimeter, measure resistance across the sensor leads at room temperature. A typical 1000 Ω sensor should read about 1080 Ω at 70°F (20–25°C). If reading is far off (open or shorted), replace the sensor.
- Step 4 – Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the sensor to the control board for pinched, burnt, or broken wires. Repair or replace as needed.
- Step 5 – Control calibration: If the sensor tests good, consult the user manual to perform an oven temperature calibration (often +/- 35°F) via the settings menu. If F02 persists, the control board may be defective.
Note: Always use OEM Signature Kitchen Suite sensor parts to ensure correct temperature response.
