Possible Causes
Open warming drawer element, Failed temperature limiter, Loose wiring harness, Faulty auxiliary oven control relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing the warming drawer or lower oven.
- Step 1 – Check operation: Turn the warming drawer or lower oven on and feel for any warmth after 10–15 minutes. If completely cold, continue.
- Step 2 – Access element: Remove the drawer or lower oven pan to access the heating element (refer to the service manual for your model).
- Step 3 – Inspect element and limiter: Look for breaks in the element or a tripped manual-reset limiter (small button on some thermostats). Reset if applicable.
- Step 4 – Test continuity: With power off, disconnect one wire from the element and test for continuity. Replace if open.
- Step 5 – Wiring and control: Inspect wiring from the element to the auxiliary control board. If wiring and element are good, the control relay may be faulty and require board replacement.
Note: Use only OEM Signature Kitchen Suite elements to ensure proper fit and wattage.
