Possible Causes
Burnt-out bulb, Failed light socket, Faulty door switch, Open light relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before replacing the bulb or accessing the socket.
- Step 1 – Replace bulb: Remove the glass cover and replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature oven bulb.
- Step 2 – Test door switch: Ensure the door switch operates correctly and that the light comes on when the door is opened (if designed to do so).
- Step 3 – Inspect socket: If a new bulb does not work, inspect the socket for corrosion or burnt contacts and replace if necessary.
- Step 4 – Control board: If the socket and switch are good, the control board's light relay may be defective and require replacement.
Note: Do not exceed the wattage rating specified for the oven light.
