Possible Causes
Failed display module, weak backlight LEDs, unstable low-voltage supply from control board, loose display connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing the control fascia.
- Check connections: Remove the front control panel and inspect the ribbon cable and connectors between the main control board and the display module. Reseat all connectors.
- Inspect for damage: Look for signs of heat damage or corrosion on the display PCB.
- Measure low-voltage supply: If qualified, restore power and measure the DC voltage feeding the display. If low or unstable, the main control board's power supply may be failing.
- Replace display or board: If the supply is correct but the display remains dim or Er16 persists, replace the display module. If the display is known good but supply is faulty, replace the main control board.
