Possible Causes

No mains supply to oven, blown internal fuse, faulty terminal block connection, failed main control board power supply

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the circuit is off before opening any covers.

  • Check mains supply: Verify that the wall switch or breaker is on and that other appliances on the same circuit work.
  • Terminal block: Remove the rear cover over the mains terminal block. Check that live, neutral, and earth wires are securely connected and not burnt.
  • Internal fuse: Some Smeg ovens have an internal fuse on the control board or near the terminal block. Test and replace with the same type and rating if blown. Investigate cause of failure.
  • Control board: If supply and fuse are good but the display remains dead, the main control board's power supply is likely faulty and the board must be replaced.
