Possible Causes
Loose or damaged keypad ribbon cable, Failed touchpad assembly, Failed electronic oven control board, Contamination or corrosion on keypad connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing the control panel.
- Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the control panel or fascia. Carefully pull it forward to expose the keypad ribbon and control board.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Check the keypad ribbon for cracks, kinks, or burn marks. Reseat the ribbon into the control board connector, ensuring it is fully inserted and locked.
- Clean contacts: If corrosion is present, gently clean the connector contacts with electronic contact cleaner and a lint-free swab. Allow to dry completely.
- Test keypad: Restore power and test all buttons. If F5 returns or some keys do not respond, the touchpad or control panel assembly is likely faulty and should be replaced.
- Replace control board: If a new keypad does not resolve the issue, replace the electronic oven control board following the wiring diagram to transfer connections correctly.
