Possible Causes
Failed microprocessor on control board, Power surge damage to control, Cracked solder joints on control board, Overheating of control due to poor ventilation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the control area.
- Power cycle: Remove power for 5–10 minutes, then restore. If F6 reappears immediately or frequently, the control is likely failing.
- Inspect control board: Remove the back cover behind the control panel. Look for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or cracked solder joints.
- Check mounting and ventilation: Ensure the control board is securely mounted and that insulation or debris is not blocking airflow around it.
- Replace control board: If visible damage is present or F6 persists, replace the electronic oven control board. Transfer each wire one at a time from the old board to the new one to avoid miswiring.
